Study on the Ignition Method for n-Octane Pyrolysis Fuel in a Scramjet Engine

In scramjet engines, ignition must take place within a residence time on the order of milliseconds. this study, secure conditions for specified n-octane pyrolysis fuel components used in autoignition or forced-ignition by plasma jet torch high-speed flow were numerically investigated. First, delay combustor and cavity flame-holder was estimated using chemical reaction analysis. Three (n-C8H18, all (15 components, decomposition rate under 11%)), gas (eight 11%) could not self-ignite time. Secondly, case torch, (No. 3) n-C8H18 ignite with less input energy than three kinds Mach number flight (M0 = 4, 6, 8). Moreover, effect shortening raising temperature O radical Ignition mixture more greatly affected injection conditions.
